Community Groups and Services at 9 am and 10:45 am

Sunday Worship

Double Oak Community Church offers a classic worship style that blends both traditional hymns and contemporary and instrumental music. Our congregation is a mix of all ages and backgrounds. You will see people dressing in all styles—from jeans to suits.

Around 1,300 people attend Double Oak Community Church each Sunday between our two campuses (Mt Laurel and Chelsea). We have both greeters and Connection Point volunteers serving each Sunday morning to help make your first visit as engaging as possible. If you would like information about where to go on a Sunday morning, be sure to stop by Connection Point and someone will be glad to assist you.

Each of our services lasts one hour and fifteen minutes and includes worship through song, greeting, general announcements, a sermon and a time of invitation/response.

Sunday Ministries

Preschool Ministry offers biblically-centered activities for birth through pre-K during both services.

Children's Ministry offers large-group worship as well as community groups for children in grade K-5.

Student Ministry (Middle School and High School) offers age & gender separated Community Groups during the 9 am service in our student building. Students are encouraged to attend worship with their family during the 10:45 am service as well as a community group each week!

Adult Community Groups meet during both services. To find out which community group is the best fit for you, please review and visit our classes, or speak with one of our Connection Point volunteers.

Preschool

Our Preschool Ministry serves Birth – PreK.  And we have the exciting privilege of partnering with families as they introduce their little ones to God.

Sunday Morning

Large Group Worship is during the 9 am Worship Service for ages 3-PreK.

Our Large Group experience takes our older preschoolers on an amazing journey through Bible Teaching and Worship. After Large Group, the children move into small groups with activities and crafts that reinforce the key teaching points.

Community Groups meet for ages 3-PreK during the 10:45 am Worship Service.

Wednesday Nights

During our Double Oak University semesters at the Mt. Laurel Campus (offered at various times throughout the year), we offer a unique Wednesday night experience for our preschoolers. Each Wednesday night, the kids experience a creative presentation of a Bible story with active games, music, and creative projects that will help them express what they are learning.

Helpful Hints:

We want to make you and your preschoolers experience at DOCC the best it can be. With that in mind we try to create environments that make your child feel safe and secure while at the same time teach them about a loving God and His ways. Here are a few things you can do to help us accomplish that:

  • When dropping off your preschooler, make the transition into the room as quick as possible. While insuring them in a calm voice that you love them and will be back to get them as soon as church is over, walk them in the door or hand them to the teacher with a clean break even if the child is resistant or crying. We promise that we will come and get you if we can't get them to settle.

  • Have all your child's belongings labeled clearly for the teachers If you do not have your bag labeled, stickers are available at the check-in desk for you to use.

  • Encourage your child to leave personal toys at home or in your car

  • Use the resources we provide to help reinforce what they are learning. The sheets we give you on Sunday, as well as your child's craft activity and coloring sheets, serve to help connect the dots between what your children hear at church and what you are teaching them at home.

  • Follow and respect all of our Security Procedures.

Kids in Kindergarten and 1st Grade will have a Bible Story, Music and Bible Game from 6:30-7:00 PM.  Then, they will join the older kids in Large Group time for Bible Skills, Scripture Memory and Music.

Kindergarten should be dropped off in Room 205.  1st Grade should be dropped off in Room 207.  Both groups should be picked up from the Kids Worship Room at 7:30 PM.

Kids in Grades 2-5 will get to choose a Worship Team to participate with according to their interests and abilities.  They can choose either Drama Team, Praise Team, Visual Arts Team or Bible Skills Team.

Kids in Grades 2-5 should be dropped off in the Kids Worship Room no earlier than 6:20 PM.  If your child finishes dinner early, please hold them downstairs until that time.  Kids in Grades 3-5 will be released at 7:30 PM.  Younger children will be held in the Kids Worship Room for pickup.

We would love to have your child participate with us this year!

Check In

We ask that either your child or yourself check in your children for both Sunday Morning and Wednesday Night Events. Please use the computer on the 2nd floor at the Children’s area, or if you also have preschool children, you can check in everyone at the preschool computers at the Preschool Desk on the First Floor.

Pick-up

For children K5-2nd grade, we ask that a parent or older sibling come to the 2nd floor Children's Area to pickup these younger children. A pickup tag is not required for picking up these children. We also ask that you communicate clearly with your older children about where to meet following the service and community group time.
